Booked the hotel for its handy and incredibly comfortable location next to many restaurants and the Lake itself and the center of Bowness-on-Windermere and the lake.

The location very close to to town centre was great. There was a spotlessly clean room with all facilities.

Very very good breakfast - 3 star level. Newly decorated rooms with comfortable beds, good value. Incredible location in the centre of Windermere, easy access to bars and restaurants.

A little small bathroom.

The breakfast was lovely cooked with cerials, homemade preserves, properly sized plates, and the ones who served it were efficient. The hotel was in an ideal location near to the many restaurants and pubs in the area, and close to windermere.

Exquisite and reasonably clean place, marvellous view of the lake or hills. Individually decorated double room with skylight. Magnificent and ideal location a short walk from a performing arts theater. And close enough to shops bars & restaurants, the centre of Bowness and lake Windermere, and the Albert pub.

Beds were a little hard.

The location was central, great for a main street and a cinema located short walk from the hotel. Overall it was well-appointed with a perfect bathroom. The staff there were outstandingly accommodating and incredibly nice.

A nice size room plus with spa bath.

The staff was especially helpful and very hard working all that time. The room was nice and good value for money with spa bath when I arrived. The service was very good, that made the hotel well-equipped and extremely comfy place.

The room was spacious and well-equipped, with a comfortable bed and a separate lounge area. The location of the hotel was great, right in the heart of town. Plus, they provided complimentary parking nearby.

The parking situation was a major issue during my stay. The hotel's designated parking area was full when I arrived, and it took some time to find a spot.

Our room was tidy and immaculate, equipped with spa bath, four poster bed, for instance. An electric kettle and glassware were available in the kitchen. The staff we met was attentive...

Thanks very much for a brilliant stay for 2 nights. The suite is newly decorated with lovely bathroom, fantastic multi jet shower plus what looked like brandy.

All in all everything was immaculate, had a brilliant stay for 2 nights. The hotel was in a handy location near to all shops, pubs and restaurants, pubs in the area yet quiet within, and the centre of the town. Plus it was max 10 mins walk to the lake.

My friends and I recently stayed at Virginia Cottage for a wedding, and it was their first time there. Graeme and Shirley were amazing hosts, and the B&B itself was spotlessly clean. The location is fantastic, right in the center of town with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Graeme and Shirley even let us store our bikes in their shed. The room was comfortable, and the breakfast selection was great. I loved the little extras like the fridge in the room and the homemade biscuits. We'll definitely be back, maybe even with our dog next time!

I enjoyed the place, it was clean & the staff were welcoming. Double room included a kettle, central heating and an iron with ironing board. The hotel took care of the friendly service. The location was unbeatable, not too far from D & d s & s Club.
